Why are posted items not showing up on the Items to Invoice page?

There are several possible reasons for this behavior:

  • Posted items have already been invoiced previously. To check whether they are invoiced, you can go to Autotask menu > Admin > Features & Settings > Contracts & Un-Posting > Un-Post and search by the Item Entered date to see whether there is an invoice number or ID available.
  • Posted labor items are associated with a Non-Billable - Do not show on invoice work type. To view work type settings, go to Autotask menu > Admin > Features & Settings > Finance, Accounting & Invoicing > Billing Codes > Work Type.
  • Posted labor items are under a recurring service or fixed price contract, and the invoice template used is set not to display recurring service contracts or fixed price contracts labor. To view invoice template settings, go to Autotask menu > Admin > Features & Settings > Finance, Accounting & Invoicing > Invoices > Invoice Templates.
  • Filter used on Items to Invoice page does not cover posted billing items. Example: an incorrect organization name or item date range is used.
