Why is the Autotask time stamp posting a future time?

Question

Why is the Autotask time stamp posting a future time?

Answer

Time Stamp of the time entry matches the end time of the time entry.

The time stamps that appear on time entries are directly connected to the end times of the time entry.

EXAMPLE  You may see a time entry that is showing a time stamp on Tuesday, even if today is Monday. In this case, the employee mistakenly set the end date of the time entry into the future; therefore, the time stamp of the time entry appears in the future as well.

On the Ticket History page, any changes made with a future dated time entry will show the actual time. For instance, on May 5th, you create a time entry for May 18th and mark the ticket complete. While the time will show for May 18th on the ticket, the edits will be recorded for May 5th, including the Complete Date of the ticket.
